Seven injured in chain collision on Highway 40

Seven people were injured Sunday morning in a chain collision on Highway 40. Two victims were in serious condition, two in moderate condition and three were in good condition following the incident in the southbound lanes of the busy highway. As a result of the initial collision, a vehicle swerved to the oncoming lanes, and collided in a frontal collision with a third vehicle, a taxi. Emergency rescue teams were called in to free casualties who were trapped in the vehicles.
