Several people were injured, one of them seriously, when a fire broke out in a building in the city of Elad, Army Radio reported Thursday afternoon. According to the report, the seriously injured man was evacuated to hospital, while four others who were lightly hurt were rescued from the burning apartment. A pregnant woman and a young baby were among those lightly injured. The fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor of a building, and fire fighters were working to prevent the blaze from spreading upwards to the third story. The firefighters managed to rescue all those who were trapped in the burning building, but the building was seriously damaged.
