Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was discharged from Hadassah-University Hospital Ein Kerem in Jerusalem on Tuesday.
In a press conference he held at the Hadassah, he thanked the medical staff for their devoted care during the two days of his hospitalization.
He also said he was flattered by the whole country's concern for his health.
Sharon stated that he will be returning to his duties as soon as possible, saying "I now have to hurry back to work and move forward."
The prime minister was hospitalized Sunday night following a mild stroke.
