The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the defense establishment have formed a list containing only 120 Palestinian prisoners over the release of which they had no misgivings, Israel Radio announced Tuesday.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced at Sharm e Sheikh two weeks ago that Israel would release 250 Fatah prisoners as a goodwill gesture to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
Olmert rejected a list presented earlier this week as insulting to the Palestinians, saying it contained many prisoners who were nearing the end of the prison term anyway.
