"We must not talk to Hamas nor facilitate its control of Gaza," Deputy Defense Minister Efrain Sneh said Tuesday morning.
Sneh told Israel Radio that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's decision to release 250 Fatah prisoners was "wise" and estimated that it would indirectly accelerate the release of captured IDF soldier Cpl. Gilad Schalit. "We must return Schalit home at a price that is bearable for Israeli society," added Sneh.
