An IDF soldier belonging to a special unit sustained light to moderate wounds as Palestinian gunmen opened fire and threw firebombs at an IDF force operating in the Jabbel Shinali neighborhood in Nablus.
The soldier was being treated by medics at the scene, and was being prepared for evacuation to hospital in Israel.
The IDF unit succeeded in arresting a senior Hamas terrorist, Sa'ad Yassin, along with three of his brothers, during the operation, but as the force was preparing to leave the city it was attacked.
