A 17-year-old boy who was stabbed in the neck two weeks ago during what police believed to be an argument with another man over a girl, died overnight Wednesday.
The boy, who was from Rishon Letzion, had been stabbed by the suspect in the company of another teenager and a girl. The attacker apparently used a Japanese knife to inflict the wound.
When paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the 17-year-old unconscious and with a deep neck wound. His friend was also on the ground with a stab wound to the stomach.
The suspect was arrested three days ago, and confessed to the attack during his interrogation.
