An Israeli search and rescue team was dispatched to Chile on Friday to search for three Israeli hikers who have gone missing.
The three have not made contact with friends and family in the eight days since embarking on a trek, which according to experts should not last more than five days.
The Israeli team will work with two Chilean rescue teams already working to find the three, whose identities are not yet known.
