Two border police officers were lightly injured on Friday, when they were hit by rocks thrown at them by left-wing activists near Nil'in. One of the policemen was hit in the face, while the other sustained injuries to his lower body. Both were taken for medical treatment at Rishon Lezion's Assaf Harofeh Hospital. Approximately a hundred Palestinians and left-wing activists were protesting the West Bank security barrier, in what has become a weekly demonstration at the Arab village of Nil'in, west of Ramallah. Two protesters were arrested during the demonstration, and taken for questioning. At the same time, some 70 activists held a similar protest next to Bi'lin, where security forces dispersed the demonstration after it turned violent.
