Two people injured by rock throwers in Mea Shearim

A policeman and a civilian were lightly injured by rocks thrown by haredi rioters on Shabbat Square in Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood. The two were taken to Bikur Holim hospital for treatment. Streets leading to the square were closed Wednesday night following demonstrations against the planned Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade, Channel 10 reported. Three rioters were arrested. Earlier, two youths were arrested on suspicion of setting fire to trash bins.
