Hamas will increase the range of its fire on Israel, but Israel is prepared for this possibility, Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilna'i said Tuesday. Speaking to Israel Radio, he said that Hamas has hundreds of missiles, but that the group's strength was weakening. Vilna'i went on to say that the IDF would see Operation Cast Lead through to its completion, and that Israel is prepared for long weeks of battle. He noted that Gaza-belt communities were well prepared, and called on residents of the South to heed instructions from authorities.
