Yishai: It is in Egypt's power to secure Schalit's release

It is in Egypt's power to secure the release of IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, Shas Chairman Eli Yishai told Army Radio on Wednesday, adding that Cairo's efforts were "vital."
Yishai made the remarks after meeting the Egyptian consulate-general in Jerusalem together with Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.
Yishai said that the consulate-general assured him that Egypt was doing all it could to stop weapons smuggling into Gaza.
