Yishai: Shas doesn't hold primaries - we're ready for elections

Shas does not hold primaries, and is as such ready for general elections, the party's chairman Eli Yishai said after meeting with President Shimon Peres on Sunday night. "I'm happy that we stood by the concept of an undivided Jerusalem," he added. According to Yishai, Kadima made efforts during the day to meet with Shas representatives, but the party stuck by its decision not to join a Livni-led government.
