The late Mrs. Evelyn H. Lauder, who initiated the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 26 years ago, has made Estée Lauder Companies the world’s most recognized partner in the fight against the disease. She was a partner in the creation of the famous Pink Ribbon and Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) campaign in more than 70 countries, raising over $50 million in research, education, and medical services worldwide, of which $ 38 million of this amount has funded 152 BCRF research projects over the past 20 years.

In Israel, Estée Lauder Companies is also very active in contributing to the community, especially in the field of breast cancer awareness. The group has been working with the Israel Cancer Association for the past 17 years to promote awareness of breast cancer. Each October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a new campaign is launched to bring the disease to the public forefront. As part of the joint project, various sites in Israel have been lit up in pink in October, including Old Jaffa, Tel Aviv City Hall, the Jerusalem Strings Bridge, the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa, the Azrieli Towers in Tel Aviv, the Tower of David and the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem, the University of Haifa, the Mann Auditorium and Kirya Tower in Tel Aviv and this year the Luna Park’s ferris wheel was lit with a pink light.
