Very cool designs
Tempo launched new fruit-flavored, lightly sweetened sodas in three flavors – apple-lemongrass, strawberry-lime and peach. The sodas are clear, with no artificial sweeteners or colorings, and contain only 19 calories per 100 ml. Each flavor is launched in three different designs.
NIS 6.5 for a family-sized bottle.
Joining them, three young Israeli designers – Shiranka (Shiran Keidar), Lilo (Li Alon) and Don’t Tell Mama (Clair Hirshberg), launched together with Tempo a capsule collection called Pixie, inspired by the design of the new Pixie soda bottles.
The collections include a line of glassware and plates, a collection of bathing suits and a collection of T-shirts and beddings. Available at www.pixie.co.il. Prices range between NIS 9.90 and NIS 429.
Good as gold
Ahava, the most recognized brand of cosmetics from the Dead Sea, has launched a new musk that combines two ancient beauty secrets – Gold and the Dead Sea minerals. The new 24K Gold Mineral Mud Mask combines the two elements creating a breakthrough anti-aging treatment in 10 minutes. Gold has been reinstated into beauty regimes in many products in recent years, combined with the Dead Sea mud, which is nicknamed “black gold.” The two clear the skin from dirt and excess sebum, invigorate the blood flow in the skin, hydrate the skin and create a visual radiating effect. The mask also contains 3D complex enriched with seaweed and date essences, vitamin B3 hyaluronic acid and more.
Use twice weekly. NIS 199. Available in pharm stores and Ahava stores.
Speedy drying
Always in a hurry? Aren’t we all? Instead of waiting for the nail polish to dry, try using Chic’s new quick-drying spray. One spray will dry the top layer. Another spraying from 12 cm. will also dry the bottom layers. The maker recommends avoiding using the spray between layers because it contains herbal oils that help protect the nails but will not allow for an even application. NIS 35, available at perfumeries and Hamashbir Lazarchan stores.
Perfect brows If you suffer, as I do, from diminishing eyebrows but resist getting a permanent tattoo, you may find the new Brow Tattoo eyebrow gel by Maybelline is the answer for you. The gel comes in three shades – light brown, brown and dark brown, and is very easy to use. Simply apply, wait 20 minutes and peel off.
The brows look fuller and shaped for three days. If you are unhappy with the result and wish to correct the shape, remove using a bi-phase makeup remover.
Perfect. NIS 40.
Get the glow
The new Bubble Sheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanser mask by Glamglow is a first-of-its-kind mask that works to reveal glowing skin, eliminating dullness and uneven texture as well as minimizing pores. This carbonated fizzy foam mask effectively removes dirt, excess oil and makeup buildup. The black bamboo charcoal sheet is infused with a micro-bubbling cleanser, featuring Green Tea Teaoxi technology and the essential amino acid l-arginine for radiant skin. A subtle tingling sensation awakens the complexion, while fresh citrus invigorates the senses. This set also contains a Black Bamboo Charcoal Cloth for extra exfoliating. With no parabens, sulfates or phthalates.
NIS 39. Available only at April stores.
Very sweet
Join international fashion blogger-turn-icon Caro (Caroline) Daur, and enjoy the fresh and sweet patisserie flavors she conjured up together with MAC in a new line of excellent lip-glosses that MAC launched with her. The “Oh Sweety” lip glosses have a whipped mousse-like texture. They are shiny and full of luster, give a complete cover with one stroke and taste sweet. I say if you choose to have fun with Caro – go all the way and choose a bright fuchsia like Raspberry Cream or Gumdrop, or chooses Caro’s favorites Death by Chocolate and Purple Panna Cotta. NIS 93, available in MAC stores.
Travel size Instead of buying small containers for your cosmetic when going on a vacation, more and more companies now launch travel-size products that make packing that much easier. Since airport security prevents taking containers of cosmetics exceeding 100 ml. on board, GIGI, the Israeli advanced-cosmetics company has launched three different travel kits of products from the company’s flag collections Nutri Peptide, Ester C and Recovery.
With these kits, it is easy also to use the products during the flight, when skin needs them most. Each kit contains two essential products.
NIS 149. Available at licensed beauticians or call (03) 925-8888.

C the power
I love Dermalogica, especially because its cosmetics aren’t just pampering but always have solid logic behind them. Its new serum is no different. Containing the new generation of vitamin C, the Biolumin-C Serum brightens skin while neutralizing free radicals, protecting against sun radiation damages and reenforcing the skin’s natural immunization system. Vitamin C oxidizes very quickly and until recently, all products containing it had to be encapsulated in order to keep the vitamin active longer. The new formula developed by Dermalogica recruits the powerful healing powers of the vitamin for much longer, working together with the skin’s natural defense system. Use morning and evening together with hydrating cream. NIS 536.
Available at Dermalogica points of sale. To find one near you call 073-210-2030.
Fit for royals
It’s high time to start recovering from the hard summer and get ready for the holiday season. Ronit Raphael Centers has launched a new intensive treatment designed to return lost hydration to the skin at the end of the summer, reduce pigmentation and provide firmness. The new Intense Royal treatment is based on two technologies – lightening and reducing pigmentation using an exfoliating machine and powerful peeling acids, and using radio-wave technology to enhance collagen and elastane production in the skin. The treatment is very effective yet needs no recovering time. Skin looks and feels relaxed, glowing and rejuvenated immediately after the treatment. Suitable for men and women over 35. It is recommended to do five treatments for best results. NIS 1,290 per treatment.
Get the right cup
These days it seems that every month is sale month but some sales are not to be missed. For me the Triumph sale is such a sale, and I always try to catch it in time.
This year that means now! Until August 30 all of the Triumph 2018 summer collection bras are sold at 50% off, including sports bras. During this time the company’s experts will give cup size consultations in the Hamashbir Lazarchan stores over a cup of coffee. Sale prices range from NIS 44.90 to NIS 224.90.
Say cheese
You must have seen the TV commercials for the new Cheesy Crust pizzas by Domino’s. We decided to forgo our diet for one night and try the new pizza, and we were very satisfied. The family Cheesy Crust Mozzarella we tried with toppings of olives and goat cheese was delicious and filling and for NIS 59.90, very good value. Also available is the Garlic and Cream Crust.
Sandal-ready feet
Getting a good pedicure has not only aesthetic benefits, but also health ones. However, it can become heavy on the budget, especially during the summer. This is why I am always on the lookout for new home solutions. The new Pedi-Care I have been using for the last couple of weeks seems to give a very good answer to the much-needed at-home pedicure. Using it when feet are damp (but not soaked) results in soft and smooth feet, even before applying foot cream. Pedi-Care uses revolutionary, etched glass PediCrystal discs that gently rotate to exfoliate, buff and remove hard, rough, dry and callused skin. You need to wet the disc or foot before switching on the machine and in minutes the feet look summer-sandal ready. According to the manufacturer, the hardened etched glass discs are extremely durable and long-lasting, so you don’t have the hassle of replacing blades or roller heads. The glass discs can be removed and cleaned easily with warm soapy water. Ergonomically designed soft-touch handle provides comfortable hold and grip. One nine-volt battery is included. Do not submerge in water. Available now at the introductory price of NIS 199. Go to https://shop.pedi-care.co.il/ Free delivery nationwide.
A well-deserved break
After a long and rather hectic summer, I enjoyed much-deserved time off at the newly opened Horizon Spa last week. Inspired by the Dead Sea, the spa at the Tel Aviv Sheraton offers many special treatments such as a salt room, salt steam room and wet and dry saunas, as well as a whole line of treatments with Dead Sea products by Ahava. The special treatments include mud wrapping, salt scrubs and more. Not very large, the new spa offers a luxurious and relaxing well-designed space, where one can enjoy a long list of body treatments from different corners of the world, as well as facials using Dermalogica products. After the excellent treatment, I popped into the wet sauna and then allowed myself another 15 minutes in the amazing relaxation room, with a cup of green tea and a cookie. Life seemed much easier after that and I was ready to go back to my normal daily chaos.
Prices range from NIS 350 to NIS 500, depending on the length of the treatment. For more information, call (03) 575-7977.
