Sheer pleasure

As the spring is looming on the horizon – so are new scents. The first to arrive is the new First Instinct Sheer Woman by the upscale fashion company Abercrombie & Fitch. The flask design is semi-round – fitting smugly in the palm of the hand and enhancing the golden shimmering color of the perfume. Top notes are fresh with bergamot and pink pepper, middle notes present citrus flowers, hibiscus and lily of the valley, and the lingering base round it out with musk, wood scents and sweet amber. NIS 159 for 50 ml. and NIS 249 for 100 ml.

Cool and powerful

Estée Lauder added a new eye cream to the Resilience Lift line. The cream, Resilience Lift Cooling/Lifting Gel has a very light texture, and contains peptide complex, seaweed and glacier water. The powerful formula, based on “Tri-Peptide Lift Complex,” is designed to promote the natural manufacturing of collagen and fibronectin, responsible for the lifted look of the skin. Keep refrigerated for added cooling effect. NIS 290.

Rosy complex

Vichy looks for solutions for 65+ mature skin and launches Neovadiol Rose Platinium, a new anti-aging and strengthening moisturizer that – thanks to rosy pigments – restores inner radiance and rosy color to mature skin. The nourishing and fortifying formula, with beeswax and minerals, is quickly absorbed, leaving skin feeling comfortable and more radiant and toned. The moisturizer revives dull and pale-looking skin and is infused with a delicate rose fragrance (57% pure rose extract). The formula also contains ingredients such as LHA, a salicylic acid derivative that speeds cell renewal and eliminates excess pigmentation and an ingredient to improve skin quality and lessen wrinkles. NIS 219, available in private pharmacies.

Treat the scar

Kelo-Cote Scar Gel for the treatment of scars is famous for its efficiency in reducing the appearance of a scar and improving healing of the skin, especially when it comes to children. While shallow wounds usually heal leaving no trace, it is the deeper cuts that may leave the skin scarred for life. Kelo-Cote Spray For Kids should be applied to a wound as soon as a scar forms and the wound is closed. The healing is much shorter with Kelo-Cote – from around 18 months to three months – and the risk of developing a red and noticeable scar is reduced tremendously. NIS 180.

For extremely dry and irritated skin

La Roche Posay, the dermo-cosmetics brand for sensitive skin, has launched a new line for babies and children who suffer from atopic dermatitis that affects their sleep. Atopic dermatitis – also known as eczema – is a common skin condition that occurs in 20% of young children, and can cause restlessness and sleep disorders. The new Lipikar ap+ line includes a hypoallergenic gentle wash cream with an enriched formula (NIS 114), a rich body cream for extremely dry and irritated skin (NIS 75) and a stick to carry with for emergencies (NIS 70). Also available in the line is a cleansing oil for daily use that helps restore the skin’s natural protecting layer, for children and grownups. (NIS 114). Available in Maccabi, Leumit and Meuhedet pharmacies, general pharmacies and online.

Goldfinger

The Korean-French beauty company Qiriness launches a cloth facial anti-aging mask that contains gold and promises to illuminate the skin while rejuvenating it. Containing hyaluronic acid, 24-karat gold and a cocktail of amino-acids, the mask adds hydration and elasticity to the skin. NIS 22.90, available in Super-Pharm stores, and online at adikastyle.com.

Refreshing and relaxing

Also by Qiriness, the new Serum Elixir Source d’Eau, is wonderfully light and melts into the skin. The unique formula is based on the company’s EOS complex made of seaweed, soy protein and Indian herbs, as well as hyaluronic acid and vitamins. NIS 215, available in Mashbir stores.

Filled with joy

In time for Purim, Osem launches Argaliot filled cookies with poppy seed, the holiday’s staple food. Argaliot is one of the most popular cookie brands in Israel, and the new flavor will be just what you will want to put in the mishloach manot this holiday. Another popular brand is the Kremugit – filled cookies. And the new flavor is Halva – a natural choice for sweet lovers. Also added to the line are chocolate and nut cream. Still in its filled cookies line – Osem also added a new choco-chips cookie flavor with added nut cream – an even more decadent version, especially for the holiday.

Pretty in pink

Tishbi Winery is preparing for the summer with a new and surprising Estate Pink Sauvignon 2018. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the grapes were picked very ripe – hence the pretty pinkish hue – and render aromas of ripe peach, pineapple, apples and lychee. Lovely wine for a warm evening. NIS 55.

Excellent value

Carmel wines celebrate Purim with a new Excellence series. The new blends include Excellence White – semi-dry light and fruity blend of Riesling and Chardonnay, and the Excellence Red – a rich and dry red blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. NIS 25.

In anticipation of summer

Tired of the winter and can’t wait for the heat? Nestlé feels the same and launches the 2019 ice cream season early. The company strengthens the La Frutta brand of fruit-based sherbet, adding ones with yogurt, as well as lemon-nana and apple, and extends the Instagram line for teenagers with new extreme cones in a new dolce-de-leche flavor. For kids, the company added a new Push It push-up pops with banana flavor and added chocolate candy. Also new in Israel are the imported Oreo Stick that will be a sure hit, in white and dark chocolate. Yummy!

The good treats

If you are planning on going abroad soon, look for the new dried fruit selection at the duty free shop. With more and more people looking for healthier alternatives, the James Richardson Duty Free shops decided to add items to their food section, introducing Geo Fresh health foods from Georgia. The Geo Fresh fruit are dried in a natural way, using cold air, with no added sugar or artificial flavoring or colors. The quality is fantastic and flavor is very nice – a real treat to take on the plane. $5.90.
