Beit Hatfutsot goes green Beit Hatfutsot – The Museum of the Jewish People will hold an all-green program of entertainment and hands-on activities for children and the whole family from March 27 to 31.
The slots in the five-day Passover vacation event include the new When Everything Was Green wordless puppet show created by Avi Zelika and Dikla Katz, with musical accompaniment by pianist Yoni Tal. The play is based on a special relationship between a young boy and a tree and the cycle of seasons in their lives.
There will also be plenty to keep the younger crowd gainfully occupied with a series of workshops in painting, weaving and coloring, as well as printing on cloth and a puppet-making workshop.
The A-Ba-Ga-Da Family Gallery will also be open to the ecological event participants, currently hosting an interactive exhibition based on the Hebrew language.
The exhibition comprises over 20 items that incorporate multimedia elements and games areas.

Moving Theater The Arab Hebrew Theater in Jaffa will host a performance of (Don’t) Look at Me, courtesy of the Tnua Theater company on March 23 at 8:30 p.m. The play tells the story of three women who are looking for their place – beside each other, inside each other and one in place of the other. They also embark on a joint quest to find the word that will dissipate their sense of loneliness. (Don’t) Look at Me is directed by Moria Ben-Avot with a cast including Gal Peleg, Vered Regev and Ronit Stershenov.
The Jaffa venue will also host the Orange Show for children on March 31 and April 1 (both at 11 a.m.), about a peripatetic and slightly unfocused actor who does his best to portray many roles with the help of various costumes and masks.
On April 4 (8:30 p.m.), the The Red Tent show is based on a novel by Anita Diamant and tells the story of the biblical Dinah from a woman’s standpoint. The Red Tent is directed by Claudia De la Sete and Ze’ev Kalati, and the acting cast includes Shifi Aloni, Rotem Ziv, Adi Noy and Itzik Golan.
For tickets and more information: (03) 518-5563 Sweet March 16 at Kfar Azar The Hasuka Nursery at Kfar Azar will host an experiential happening for kids and parents tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As part of the event, the sculpture garden and the pools at the plant nursery will be converted into a mini-golf course with all sorts of animal figures and roadsafety elements strategically placed near the holes. The course will be open for youngsters and adults alike.
There will also be a program of workshops, such as candy skewing, followed by a candy eating free-for-all.

The event features seven shows for adults and three for children, covering a wide range of themes that feed off current affairs and social issues.
The performances for adults include Dad’s Woman (Ha’isha Shel Abba) by Savyon Liebrecht, directed by George Darwas and performed by Aviva Yoel, which tells the tale of a woman who has been incarcerated in an institution for the emotionally disturbed for more than 20 years following the murder of her twin sister. The tragic events come back to life when the son of the man found guilty of the killing comes to the hospital to visit her.
Hunger Artist (Omanit Ra’av) is a tragicomedy based in New York in 1967 in which an unworldlywise 22-year-old woman from Jerusalem runs away from her draconian father and immerses herself in the heady cultural maelstrom of the Swinging Sixties. Hunger Artist is directed by Mirit Yanai, based on a story by Amital Stern and performed by Vered Regev.
Teatronetto also features a special event in which playwright Nava Semel is joined by actor Dvir Bendak, director Eldad Ziv and musician Avi Binyamin to talk about the machinations that are going into creating Semel’s latest work-in-progress, Back to Israel (Hazara Leyisrael).
