Convoy of foreigners escorted out of Gaza

A police-escorted convoy of vans carrying 15 foreigners sped through Gaza City on Tuesday, en route to the Gaza-Israel border crossing. Palestinian security forces had rounded up the foreigners for their protection throughout the day, after Palestinian gunmen kidnapped nine foreign nationals in protest against the Israeli raid of a Jericho prison. An AP photographer was in one of the vans, along with an American couple and their three children. Three Palestinian police vehicles led the way.
