Death toll in Iraq blasts rises to 35

Iraqi workers were sweeping up broken glass and other debris from bloodstained streets Monday, a day after a series of explosions in Baghdad killed at least 35 people. Police officials said the deadliest attack occurred when a parked car bomb went off at a commercial complex as people were shopping shortly after sundown Sunday in Baghdad's Karradah neighborhood. They said two minutes later, a suicide bomber set off a second explosion as onlookers and security forces gathered near the first blast. Police raised the death toll to 22 in that explosion from 19. Explosions elsewhere in Baghdad on Sunday killed 13 and injured 37.
