Eight Damascus-based Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, have called for national dialogue between rival Palestinian factions but say they will not give up their fight against Israel. Thursday's statement has suggested the reconciliation discussions be sponsored by Egypt, Qatar, Syria and Turkey. The group says it will reject any political deals that hinder the "continuity of the resistance" against Israel.
