The exiled leader of Hamas group says an Egyptian plan for Palestinian reconciliation needs to be modified.
Khaled Mashaal says that the agreement cannot be a basis of reconciliation with rival Fatah in its current form.
Mashaal made his comments to reporters Wednesday after a meeting of leaders of eight Syria-based radical Palestinian factions.
On Sunday, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said that Egypt issued invitations to rival Palestinian factions for power-sharing talks.
During the meetings that are to start on November 9, Hamas and Fatah are to talk about forming a joint government, rebuilding the security forces and setting a date for presidential and legislative elections.
