Lebanese president seeks closer ties with Turkey

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman is making the first visit to Turkey by a Lebanese head of state in more than 50 years. Suleiman was set to meet his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul on Tuesday. They are expected to oversee the signing of several agreements, including on military cooperation.
