Police say Lebanese troops have shot and killed a fugitive during the hunt for the killers of four soldiers in northeastern Lebanon.
A police statement issued Tuesday said the dead man was armed and tried to flee.
The state news agency added that troops seized stolen vehicles, weapons and a drug lab in the raids.
It said 35 people wanted on various outstanding warrants have been arrested by troops who deployed in the Baalbek and Hermel regions backed by helicopters.
