Palestinian police find Hamas bomb lab

Palestinian police say they have arrested 11 people after uncovering a weapons cache and a bomb lab in the city of Hebron. Hebron is the West Bank's largest city and considered a Hamas stronghold. Security forces loyal to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas have been cracking down on the group in the past year. Hamas seized Gaza by force in June 2007 and Abbas is trying to prevent a repeat in the West Bank. Police Col. Ramadan Awad said a weapons storehouse and an explosives lab have been discovered in Hebron in recent days and that 11 Hamas activists have been arrested.
