Sources in the Syrian opposition said on Saturday that a ship carrying Iranian arms sailing under a Tanzanian flag was in the Red Sea on its way to deliver weapons to forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad, Saudi Media outlet Al-Arabiya reported.
The ship was expected to enter the Suez Canal on Saturday. According to the report, a member of the Syrian National Coalition urged Egyptian authorities to take decisive action and search the ship citing decisions of the Arab League, which provided for standing by the Syrian people.
