Terror attack on US embassy in Algeria thwarted

The Al Arabiya news channel reported Thursday that Algerian forces had thwarted a terror attack against the US embassy in the country, believed to have been planned by al-Qaida. According to reports, a surveillance operation led to the arrest of one suspect which then led to the exposure of a whole network. The cell reportedly also planned attacks against the British and Danish embassies. No further details were revealed.
