UNRWA unveils $345 million 'Gaza revival plan'

A UN agency serving Palestinian refugees has unveiled a $345 million emergency plan for the Gaza Strip. UNRWA revealed its "Gaza revival plan" in a meeting in Jordan on Tuesday. The plan calls for rebuilding the coastal strip and outlines specific mechanisms for providing food, shelter, health care and education to Gaza's population. UNRWA's Commissioner-General Karen AbuZayed said donor nations like the US have pledged to provide about half of the needed money.
