US House speaker Nancy Pelosi makes surprise visit to Iraq

An Iraqi government official said US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has arrived in Baghdad for a surprise visit.
The official said the California Democrat was meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to release the information before a government statement is issued.
Pelosi's visit to Baghdad on Saturday comes a day after she led a bipartisan congressional delegation to Israel to mark the 60th anniversary of Israel's founding.
