Car explodes in likely criminal hit in TA; 2 hurt

In what police believe was a criminal attack, car explodes causing serious injuries to one man and lightly injuring another.

An explosion in a vehicle, whose cause was believed to be criminal, injured two people in south Tel Aviv on Saturday near the Abu Kabir Institute for Forensic Medicine.
MDA paramedics treated one man in serious condition and an additional man who was lightly injured before evacuating the men to Sourasky Medical Center in the city. Paramedics stated that both men were approximately 30-years-old.
Police stated that the the explosion was likely a criminal incident and were checking the possibility that someone attached an explosive device to the vehicle.
Last month, a man on a motorcycle stuck a bomb to the door of mob boss Nisim Alperon in central Tel Aviv in an attempted assassination. Alperon escaped from the vehicle moments before the explosion.
The explosion left the vehicle a smoldering wreck, damaged a car in the next lane, and shattered the windows of a bus a few meters away.
Nine people were hurt, with three suffering light injuries and six suffering from shock.
