Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, the Mossad, called on Saturday for Iranians with access to information on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear industry to contact it.
“If you have access to information in the field of the nuclear industry, talk to us,” the Mossad wrote on its Persian-language Telegram channel. “With us, your future is guaranteed. Contact us through a secure channel.”
The Mossad’s call comes after Iran claimed that US and Israeli strikes had hit the Natanz nuclear facility earlier in the day. The IDF subsequently told The Jerusalem Post that it was not aware of an Israeli strike on the facility.
Nevertheless, destroying Iran’s ability to approach nuclear capability is one of Jerusalem and Washington’s goals in their campaign against Tehran.
US President Trump on Friday listed this objective as one of those nearly achieved in the war in a Truth Social post, saying that the US was “getting very close" to meeting its goals.
Mossad launches Telegram channel at start of Iran war
The Mossad launched its “special” Telegram on the morning of February 28 as Israel and the United States launched the ongoing war against the Iranian regime.
In the announcement of the launch, the Mossad vowed that the Iranian people were not alone and called on citizens to “share with us photos and videos of your just struggle against the regime.”
Since the start of the war, the Israeli intelligence agency has been publishing near-daily posts asking for Iranian citizens to continue sharing images with it.
Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that ordinary Iranian citizens were sending information to Israel.
Among the information reportedly shared with Israel was intelligence that enabled an Israeli Hermes drone to strike Basij checkpoints in Tehran.
