Car fleeing police injures couple in Tel Aviv

Police officer fires at car's tires after driver refuses to stop, runs red lights; driver loses control lightly injuring 2; 4 arrested.

Two people sitting on a bus bench on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv suffered light injuries on Saturday night when a car fleeing police struck a parked motor scooter which then careened into them.
Police noticed the vehicle driving erratically in north Tel Aviv and ordered the driver to stop immediately. The driver refused to heed the officers' calls, running several red lights as he fled from police.

A police officer fired at the car's tires, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The car then struck the motor scooter, which subsequently injured the bystanders.
The two people injured in the incident were evacuated to Tel Aviv's Sourasky Medical Center in good condition.
The car's driver and his three passengers were detained for questioning.
