The Beersheba District Court sentenced two men convicted of the 2003 murder of 16-year-old Shaked Shalhov to a life sentence plus an additional 15 years in prison, on Tuesday.
The two, Meir Jano and Yisrael Ganon were also ordered to pay her family NIS 258,000 in compensation.

Zano and Ganon were tried in Beersheba District Court and acquitted on
April 30, 2009, after a trial that was prolonged for several years due to a complication stemming from a case law
In December, the prosecution
appealed the acquittal to the Supreme Court, which reversed the lower
court ruling. The panel of justices who made the decision consisted of
presiding justice Edmond Levi and justices Salim Joubran and Isaac Amit.
