In one of the most gruesome murders seen in the capital in years, the wife of
the man charged with dismembering his ex-spouse was arrested Wednesday as a
possible accomplice, police said.
The main suspect, identified by the
court as Zev Gorlik, 43, confessed to the murder after he reported his exwife
missing two days earlier.

According to Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, Gorlik worked
with powerful chemical agents and attempted to disintegrate the victim’s severed

Rosenfeld said the woman appeared before the
Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court Wednesday after her arrest and is being remanded
for 10 days by the court so it can investigate her involvement in the

to the sensitivity of the case and Rosenfeld was unable to disclose further
details. However, Ma’ariv reported Wednesday that the victim’s mother said
Gorlik had stopped making childsupport payments for their two children, ages
nine and 13, and spoke on Sunday without any signs of strain.
