Trump mask becomes Halloween hit in Mexico

"We didn't like what he said at all, so this adds to the comedy," says company head.

After billionaire Donald Trump accused Mexico of sending criminals to live in the United States, a Mexican artisan has given angry locals an outlet - a Trump mask for Halloween in an attempt to poke fun at the outspoken real-estate mogul.
Grupo Rev in the Mexican city of Cuernavaca has begun producing masks in Trump's likeness. With the company exporting to some 30 countries globally, the budding presidential candidate's mask is set to be a hot seller.
"We already make masks of politicians, Donald Trump could not be an exception. We have a [US President Barack] Obama mask which sells very well and Donald Trump is gathering a lot of strength. We didn't like what he said at all, so this adds to the comedy, to the joke of this unpleasant person," said company head Diego Esponda.
In a June speech in which Trump announced his presidential bid, the billionaire also said that Mexico was not a friend of the United States and that the country sent drug-runners, criminals and rapists to the US.
The latex masks depicts the US presidential candidate with his signature blonde quiff and mouth agape.
"With Donald Trump, it was easy because he is already well characterized and he has a particular scowl so that when he starts to talk he starts to pout. He has an expression like he's looking down on you and this is an expression that we liked a lot," said mask designer Hector Bustos.
The Trump Halloween mask reportedly retails for 600 Mexican pesos, or $36 dollars.
