Chris Watson had an outstanding game against his former club as Ironi Ramat Gan claimed its first win of the BSL season on Monday evening.

The team coached by Daniel Gutt defeated fellow struggler Hapoel Holon 85-78 at the Zissman Arena with Watson contributing 18 points off the bench.

The first half was tight, finishing in a two-point Ironi lead (37-35), but the home team came out firing on all cylinders at the start of the third period.

With 2:30 left in the quarter Ramat Gan had stretched its lead to 14 points (60-46) and was heading for triumph at long last.

While Holon put up a fight in the fourth, cutting the Ironi advantage to seven points, it wasn't enough to give coach Miki Dorsman a second win in his second game back in charge of the team.
