Burgers Bar Mevaseret made a daring prediction of victory, then backed up their words with a stunning win over Israel at Heart, in the biggest upset of the Sweet-16. Burgers Bar Mevaseret 55, Israel at Heart 49 Burgers Bar built a 10-point lead, then held off a strong comeback by Israel at Heart to give Coach Hillel Katz the upset win. With two minutes on the clock, Israel at Heart had closed to within a bucket, but that was as close as they would get without their injured starting point guard. Burgers Bar was led by Daniel Boyarsky (14 points), Eitan Reiffman (12) and James Markin (13). Chaim Katz ran the point masterfully and Aaron Begin's five points included a momentum-changing three-pointer. Lobos 61, Wok Tov 50 Wok Tov proved they could hang with the best, but Lobos earned a spot in the basketball quarterfinals, to go along with their place in the Holyland Bowl football championship and their status as Opening Day favorites in the softball league. Three-letter man Aryeh Rudman tried to downplay the possibility of a historic "triple", stating the team is taking things one game - and one sport - at a time. "Our next game is against Rain, they're a good team" said Rudman. "That's all we're thinking about." Four 55, Ike Ben Simon 24 Looking for vengeance after their surprise loss to Ike Ben Simon during the regular season, top-seeded Four came out strong and never let up. Lev Dawgs 74, Toronto Shammy's 39 The experienced Lev Dawgs showed they're a true contender, with Daniel Frolich leading the way over Shammy's. Rain 56, Chicago Boys 33 Rain led coast-to-coast, easily advancing to the Elite Eight. Chabad Heights 40, TJ Toolboxes 29 The only team left who can challenge Lobos in all three major sports, Chabad Heights first has to get by the Burgers Bar "upset specials" in its next game. Also, in the tier II "All Star Israel Sports Camp Trophy" tournament final, it was Hapisga Dry Cleaners 64, Noam Weinberg 55.
