Olympic Committee of Israel chairman Tzvi Varshaviak (pictured) announced on Sunday that Israel's goal for the 2012 London Olympic Games is to break through the glass ceiling and claim more medals than ever before. Since judoka Yael Arad won Israel's first ever Olympic medal in 1992, the country's Olympic delegation has always managed to return from the Games with at least one medal, but never with more than two. "It is about time we win more than two medals. We believe that this is within our capabilities," Varshaviak said at a press conference at Hadar Yosef in which the OCI announced its targets for the 2012 Games.
