Eyal Lachman will guide Bnei Sakhnin against Hapoel Tel Aviv at the Doha Stadium on Saturday after being named as the club's coach on Tuesday. The 43-year-old, who was pushed out of National League club Maccabi Herzliya after a poor start to the season, will be starting his second tenure at Sakhnin. He is clearly hoping it will be just as successful his first go-round with the club. In 2004, Lachman led the team to an historic State Cup and the following season the side took part in the UEFA Cup. Lachman, who was sacked by Sakhnin during the 2004/05 campaign, replaces Freddy David, who guided Sakhnin to just one win in its first nine matches of the season. Sakhnin is joint-bottom with Bnei Yehuda on five points and as Tuesday's 7-2 Toto Cup thrashing to Hapoel Tel Aviv showed, Lachman has got plenty of work to do if his new Sakhnin team is to avoid relegation.
