Maccabi Haifa announced on Wednesday that it will face the NBA’s New Jersey Nets in a preseason game on October 3.The game will mark the first preseason game the Nets will play at the Prudential Center since the team announced it will play its home games in Newark for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.“We are thrilled to bring Maccabi Haifa to America to play the Nets ina preseason game,” said Haifa owner and a New Jersey native JeffreyRosen.“It has been our goal to build Maccabi Haifa into an internationalbrand and playing an NBA team such as the Nets is just another step inthe right direction.”
