In Thursday’s Israel Recreational Hockey Association league action, the Northern
Whites downed the Central Blues 12-7.
The Whites led 5-3 after the first
two periods in what began as an evenly matched contest, but then blasted in with
seven goals in the final frame to run away with it.

first time this season that the entire Horowitz family was on the ice. Father
Wayne Horowitz played right wing to his center son, Michael, with sister Lisa on
left and younger son Liam on defense.
Michael is a former starter for
Israel’s senior national team, while Liam was the starting goalie for Israel’s
under-18 national junior team.
Despite the loss, Blues goalie Chaim
Hirschberg played a strong game, stopping several two-onones, but the Blues’
defense was overwhelmed by the Whites’ more nimble skaters.
rookie goalie Yoav Regev earned his third win of the season stopping Blue’s
speedy forward Gal Assa on a breakaway in the third that helped knocked the wind
out of the Blues’ attack.
The Whites were led offensively by Amnon Eisner
with five goals and Phil Libman with a goal and five assists.
