Gloushkov and Yoffe have set themselves the target of reaching the Olympic final in Beijing after missing out on a top 12 finish in the Athens Games, ending the competition in 17th place.
Yoffe retired from the sport after the last Olympics, but made a return two years ago and in this year's European Championships finished in seventh position with Gloushkov.
The duo faces tough competition to finish among the top-12 in the qualifiers and advance to the final, but will be disappointed with any other result.
