Palestinian soccer team reschedules Singapore game

The Palestinian soccer team wants to reschedule its Asian Cup qualifier against Singapore after failing to turn up for Wednesday's match. The players could not get out of the violence-stricken Gaza Strip due to IDF operations in the area, Palestinian soccer federation head Ahmed al-Afifi said Thursday. Wednesday's no-show was the first time the team missed an international qualifier, al-Afifi said. Singapore's soccer association said the case will be submitted to the AFC's competitions committee.
