Michel Dayan became the fourth coaching casualty of the Premier League season on Sunday. Ironi Kiryat Shmona owner Izzy Shiratzky summoned Dayan to a meeting in the morning and told him that he could not accept the team's recent results and therefore had chosen to sack him. Kiryat Shmona, which played in the UEFA Cup earlier this season, has lost its last two league matches 3-0 and is currently just five points above bottom-of-the-table Hakoach Amidar Ramat Gan. "Due to our recent results, which have led to our current position in the standings, the club has decided to make a change at the coaching position," a Kiryat Shmona statement read. "The club would like to thank Michel for his time at the team and wishes him all the best in the future." Kiryat Shmona has yet to name a replacement for Dayan, but is hoping to do so before Saturday's home match against Ashdod SC.
