Irina Lenskiy won a gold medal with a season-best 13.24-second run in the 100-meter hurdles at the European Champion Clubs Cup Group B meet in Istanbul on Sunday. Lenskiy was one of a handful of Maccabi Tel Aviv (men) and Maccabi Rishon (women) athletes that medaled at the meet. Lenskiy has been in fine form this season and, if she remains injury-free, could break the 13-second barrier before July's Israel Championships. Alex Averbukh finished second in the pole vault with a 5.20-meter jump and Michael Illin was the runner-up in the 110-m hurdles in 14.20 seconds - just six hundredths of a second off of the Israeli record.
