A 13-year-old boy was killed by the IDF on Thursday, in a town northwest of Ramallah, Palestinian medical sources reported.
Bahaa Samir Badir was killed during a raid in the village of Beit Liqya, Palestinian media said, after the military shot the young boy in the chest from close range.
He died of his wounds shortly after the gun shots, prompting clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces at the scene.
The IDF Spokesperson's Office said that Israeli forces were leaving Beit Liqya when residents of the West Bank town began hurling firebombs at them. The military opened fire in response, confirming a direct hit.
In a separate incident in Jerusalem's Silwan neighborhood, Arabs threw Molotov cocktails at a private car and a police vehicle, sparking a fire. The car – owned by a resident of the town – was damaged in the attack. Police were searching for the assailants, though no injuries were reported.
In east Jerusalem's Shuafat, Palestinians threw rocks at the light rail way tracks, a recurring scene since tensions skyrocketed in July, following the killing of Israeli Arab teen Muhammad Abu Khdeir in the hands of Jewish nationalists.
Four firebombs were thrown at a parked car and at a building in Jerusalem's Nof Zion neighborhood, as Police searched the area for the perpetrators.
