Abbas meets with Hamas delegation to discuss Palestinian Unity

The Palestinian Authority President met with a Hamas delegation in Ramallah.

RAMALLAH - Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met with a Hamas delegation in Ramallah on Tuesday to discuss unity among the Palestinian people, according to Palestinian News Agency WAFA.
The parties discussed ending internal Palestinian division as well as the current situation in the West Bank.
In addition, they reviewed last week's events surrounding the Aksa Mosque in Jerusalem, in particular their efforts to "preserve the historical and legal status" of the holy site.
