On Sunday night, as the rockets launched from Gaza were falling in southern Israel, in the city center of Jerusalem, a Jewish man and a Muslim woman found themselves singing together and inspiring dozens of people to join them in a powerful message of hope.
An amateur video published on Facebook by The Israel Project shows a man wearing a black kippah and with a long beard and a young woman with a headscarf singing the moving song "Halleluja" by Leonard Cohen.
Dozens of passers-by - Jews and Muslims, religious and secular, men and women, young and old - stopped to enjoy the performance, joining them for the chorus.
About 700 rockets were launched against Israel over the course of last weekend, killing four and injuring dozens. A ceasefire was reached on Tuesday.
