Hit-and-run that killed Israeli woman near Havat Gilad deemed accident
The indictment, filed Wednesday, charged against a Palestinian with fleeing a crime scene and death by negligence.

A hit-and-run incident in August that claimed the life of an Israeli woman was deemed an accident in an indictment filed against the driver.The indictment filed on Wednesday charged a Palestinian with fleeing a crime scene, and death by negligence.The Palestinian man had been driving down Route 60 near the Havat Gilad outpost, when he struck and killed the woman. He continued on to PA-controlled areas to turn himself in to Palestinian authorities, who then handed him over to Israeli security forces.The indictment completes the investigation into the August 16 incident, which authorities could not determine at the time as to whether or not it was a vehicular terror attack.The incident occurred close to the site of a January 9 terror attack in which Rabbi Raziel Shevach, a father of six, was shot dead by Palestinians as he drove near his home in the Havat Gilad outpost.Tovah Lazaroff contributed to this report.
