IDF shoots suspected terrorist near West Bank settlement of Yitzhar

Israel Radio reported that while the security incident was taking place, Yitzhar residents were asked to stay inside their homes.

The IDF said on Wednesday morning that it shot and wounded a female suspected terrorist who was armed with two knives and who was approaching the West Bank settlement of Yitzhar.
The IDF soldiers said the woman came within ten meters of the settlements boundary road then chased her for 300 meters towards the Palestinian village of Madama.
The soldiers fired a warning shot for the suspect to stop before they shot her, the IDF said. IDF soldiers provided the suspect with medical treatment at the scene before she was evacuated.  Her medical condition was unclear.

One Israeli was killed and four were wounded by Palestinians in four separate incidents across the West Bank on Tuesday.
The latest attack occurred at night in Hebron, when soldiers killed two knife-wielding Palestinian terrorists as they stabbed and lightly wounded one solider and then tried to stab another.
The 30 teens marching with Israeli flags on the outskirts of Hebron near the Kiryat Arba settlement were not harmed in the incident.
Earlier in the day, Avraham Asher Hasno, 54, was killed in a hit-and-run truck incident that followed a Palestinian rock attack on his car near his home settlement of Kiryat Arba.
He stopped the vehicle, got out, and was struck by a truck driven by a Palestinian man, who then drove away.
The incident occurred on Route 60 near the Palestinian village of Al-Fawwar.
Magen David Adom paramedics reported finding a man without vital life signs lying on the road next to his vehicle, suffering from multiple wounds.
Photos show how his front windshield and side door had been damaged by the stones.
An MDA team attempted to resuscitate the man, but when that failed, it declared him dead on the scene.
The Palestinian truck driver turned himself into the Palestinian Authority police in nearby Daharia, in the South Hebron Hills, claiming that he had hit Hasno by accident and had not intended to run him over.
Security forces have launched an investigation into the incident.
Hasno was the father of seven and a grandfather of nine. He ran the kitchen at the yeshiva in the nearby Otniel settlement.
