Man lightly injured in stabbing attack south of Jerusalem

The assailant fled the scene. Security forces have been called to the site of the attack in pursuit of the perpetrator.

One person was injured in a stabbing attack in the West Bank city of Beit Jala, south of Jerusalem and just outside the Har Gilo settlement, according to a statement released by the Israel Police.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was lightly injured on his face, a Magen David Adom statement said. He has been taken to Jerusalem's Hadassah Medical Center, a hospital statement said.
The assailant fled the scene and security forces are in pursuit.
